01What is Tardy?

Tardy is an iPhone and iPad student planner that combines coursework, calendar availability, reminders, and smart planning.

02Does Tardy do my homework or submit assignments?

No. Tardy helps organize and schedule academic work. It does not complete or submit coursework, and it does not change Canvas grades.

03How does Tardy connect to Canvas?

Through the calendar feed link Canvas gives every student. In Canvas, open Calendar → Calendar Feed, copy the link, and paste it into Tardy. It is the same link Canvas offers for Google or Apple Calendar—read-only, and you never enter your Canvas password.

04What can Tardy do without my school's approval?

Everything in Tardy's available-now tier works with just your calendar link: assignment import, automatic summaries and time estimates, duration learning, syllabus and class-schedule scanning, calendar-aware planning, reminders, and chat. A school-approved connection later adds deeper Canvas data, like point values and assignments that never reach the calendar.

05Why do some features need my school's approval?

Canvas shares deeper coursework data—point values, grading weights, and work that never reaches the calendar—only through official integrations that each school reviews and approves itself. That rule protects student data, and it means Tardy can offer those features only where a school has connected it. You can raise interest for your campus on the Schools page.

06Which calendars does Tardy support?

Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, and compatible calendar-file imports.

07Can Tardy change my calendar?

Yes. When requested, Tardy can add, move, or remove supported events and study blocks.

08Does Tardy work offline?

Previously synced data remains available, and Tardy includes an on-device planning fallback. Chat responses and fresh service synchronization require an internet connection.

09Is Tardy available on Android or the App Store?

Not currently. Tardy is being built for iPhone and iPad and is presently available through a private beta rather than a public App Store release.

10How accurate are the time estimates?

Time estimates start as planning aids based on available assignment and course information, then improve as Tardy learns how long work actually takes you. You can always adjust them yourself.

11What happens to my data?

Tardy uses account, coursework, calendar, and chat data only as described in its privacy policy and according to the connections you enable.
