This is a review draft, not yet effective. General consent, withdrawal, age, and in-app account-deletion controls still require implementation, and supplier commitments are not finalized. This summary does not broaden the full policy or grant permission. Reading it does not activate a feature.
What Tardy handles
Account identifiers, name and email; connected coursework and calendar information; planning preferences; chat and support content; and technical records needed to run the service. Optional Text Tardy adds your confirmed messaging address, exchanged messages, shared planning context, and reminder records.
What leaves your phone
Google/Firebase supports accounts and cloud storage. OpenAI receives relevant AI inputs, which can include your name/email, coursework, calendar details, plans, preferences, and conversation. The intended launch requires your separate AI permission first; the general permission gate is not yet implemented. If you enable Text Tardy, Linq processes messaging addresses, exchanged messages, and delivery information. Relevant content is processed in the cloud; the assistant is not end-to-end encrypted.
A Canvas calendar-feed URL stays in device Keychain storage and is used directly with Canvas. A connected Canvas API token is stored encrypted on Tardy's backend for account-based restoration. Imported academic content may separately reach AI processing.
Why, and for how long
We use information to provide planning, authorized integrations, AI assistance, reminders, support, and security. Retention differs by record. A 24-hour texting-context freshness limit is not a 24-hour deletion guarantee; saved cloud events and cached analyses can remain longer. Tardy does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Your choices
Terms acceptance is separate from AI permission, calendar access, and texting consent. The intended launch provides separate choices for sources and optional features; the general consent and withdrawal controls described here are not yet fully implemented. Contact us about access, correction, withdrawal, or deletion. Text STOP to withdraw Text Tardy messaging permission, or disconnect in the app. Neither signing out nor uninstalling disconnects texting; opting out of texts does not delete stored information.
Messages can expose academic details on lock screens or linked devices. Avoid private information about others. Verify deadlines and AI answers against official sources. Launch eligibility is US residence and age 18 or older.
